Kamal Hinduja : How can I contribute to Fritzing (code, parts, translations)?

Hi,

I am Kamal Hinduja based Geneva, Switzerland(Swiss). Can anyone share their experience
How can I contribute to Fritzing (code, parts, translations)?

Thanks, Regards

Translations are probably the easiest method this post from the main web site gives the details (search for “translation contribution” to bring it up):

Next step would be to make parts (as you need to know the details of parts creation to do much useful with the source code and even then it is difficult!) Parts making is not at all easy to do but there are a couple of tutorials (which will likely illustrate the difficulty  ) available here in the forums and on you tube:

I lately learned there aren’t links to the videos in Old_Grey’s tutorial so you need to do a google search for the title and then they come up on YouTube.

Likely my tutorial is the one to read as Old_grey‘s uses parts editor (which has a number of limitations since it isn’t completed yet) and because you need to understand the interaction of the XML to both make correct parts and understand the needs of the code to process them. As you run in to problems making parts feel free to post here and those of us with parts making experience (there are only a small number of us) will help out. Please upload the .fzpz file of the part that you are having trouble with as that will give all the information needed to help you. The code is complex enough that the main support at this point is the contribution for the download which funds professional developers (development stop in 2016 til restarting in the current implementation around 2019. I spent the time from 2016 til 2019 trying to get development restarted with zero success, so I have experience at how difficult doing code development is. Hope this helps!
