Can't edit labels on silk screen

Hi there…
I can’t edit any labels on the silk screen. Went through all the menu & subs, didn’t find anything.
Anyone could help?

Thx so far!
Freddie

You can’ edit the silkscreen of a part from Fritzing. You need to modify the pcb svg and create a new part. This is why there normally isn’t text in parts. You can add new text in a sketch, but you can’t remove text in a part without modifying the part. Part making tutorials that apply to current Fritzing versions are here (although it is quite complex!)

I lately learned there aren’t links to the videos in Old_Grey’s tutorial so you need to do a google search for the title and then they come up on YouTube.

Hi Peter,
it looks, like I misspoke…
It’s not the labels, it’s the txt-fields I meant.

I did this PCB quite a while ago, but I don’t remember… :frowning:
Thx

Freddie

In pcb all silkscreen is black (it used to be white many versions ago) and the color isn’t changeable. I believe most board houses will let you pick a single color for silkscreen on the order form, I don’t know of any that do multiple but there may be (but Fritzing likely won’t support it!)

Peter

Hi,
don’t talk of color…

I want to edit the txt-fields itself!

Like I said, I did the PCB a while ago, I did all the custumized TXT-fields but I forgot the way to get there…

Freddie

Click on the text to select it then change the text in Inspector.

Peter

Hi Peter,

YYYeeesss!

Thank you very much!
This is what I was looking for! I unchecked the Inspector and was not able to locate it anymore…
