Part Request: Generic Power Inverter

Hello Fritzing community,

I need help creating a simple, generic part to represent a Power Inverter for a UV-C Lamp project.

I am looking for a minimalist block representation that I can use to show the wiring logic in my diagram.

1. Design Specifications (Minimalist)

• Shape: A simple rectangle with rounded corners (Top View).
• Dimensions: 120mm x 100mm.
• Color: Black or Dark Grey.
• Label: Please label the part clearly on top as: “Power Inverter (12V DC to AC)”.

2. Connectivity Requirements
To make it usable in the Breadboard/Schematic views, it needs 4 connection points:

• Input Side: 2 Pins labeled 12V IN + and 12V IN -.
• Output Side: 2 Pins (or short wires) labeled AC OUT (To Lamp).

3. Reference Image

• I have attached a photo of the type of inverter I am using for reference, but again, a simplified rectangular block with the dimensions above is perfect.

A google search of the form “fritzing part inverter” indicates the one in this post may do what you want (of at least as close as anything that currently exists.)

Can anyone help make me make an Automatic Switch breaker and a Solar power inverter 500 watts?

It is possible to make parts for these although I’m not sure how useful they would be. The automatic transfer switch has a 4 position terminal block (circled in red here) that has no documentation that I can find as to what it is supposed to do. [capture] without that it isn’t possible to make a complete part. Peter

I checked the part you mentioned, and while it works electrically, the physical dimensions in the Breadboard view are extremely large compared to the rest of my components. This makes my diagram look disproportionate and hard to read.

Since Fritzing does not allow resizing parts directly in the editor, I am unable to scale it down to fit my design.

Could you (or anyone willing to help) please modify it or create a simple custom block with the specific dimensions I requested (120mm x 100mm)?

Since this is for my Engineering Thesis documentation, having the correct visual scale is very important to me. A simple rectangular block with those dimensions and the 4 pins would be perfect.

The original part is the size of the actual inverter (which may be larger than you want.) This part which doesn’t have pcb view (as it is not useful) should do what you want.
