I noticed this improvement in the UI but am confused.

Fixed dark mode font color inconsistencies in upload screen

I can’t find any place to enable dark mode. My OS is set to dark mode but Fritzing is still all white. Is there something I need to set somewhere to get it to dark mode?

“Darkmode fixes” refers to the many situations, were Fritzing was using default colors. When the system use dark mode, default colors conflict with Fritzings own colors, resulting in white text on white background, or dark text on dark background.

The fixes now hardcode colors, so everything stays readable. Many of these only happen on one specific OS, so they sometimes slip through.

I added are longer comment here:

I am on 1.0.5 and when I tell it to check for updates, it says there are none. What am i doing wrong?

Auto update no longer works. You need to use the link supplied in your receipt from Fritzing.org for the donation for 1.0.5 to bypass the donation page to download 1.0.6 and manually install it using the installer for Windows or the appimage for Linux or the Mac version.

Yes, which is copy pasta from what I wrote on our website. And?

And it is convenient to read in the linked post. It makes absolute sense that you did not repost the changes but it makes no less sense to link to the original post which contains them.
