Could it be a version mismatch issue? I am still use fritzing 0.9.6…
Fritzing 0.9 is already quite old, I can’t say whether that’s the cause. The way file management works should be the same though.
So I just figured out that the following was the cause in my case.
In the folder
~.local/share/Fritzing//Fritzing/local_parts/user/
there were two folders that pointed to my tests, and they also contained “old” files left over from my experiments. After I deleted all folders starting with “14_Segmentanzeige_KWA-541XVB_a32ee93540a93c3c6c6d469e1dc70103*”, it worked.
Could you please search in the console?
~/.local$ find -name "*a32ee93540a93c3c6c6d469e1dc70103*"
Can you delete the corresponding folders?
I’m also attaching the file again — this time I’ve changed the label, as it was duplicated in the schematic and therefore confusing.
14_Segmentanzeige_KWA-541XVB.fzpz (9.4 KB)
Regards, Harald
It still has no schematic and I cannot edit the part (fritzing segfaults). I will take your part apart (unzip) and try to create a new part (more or less from scratch) using the schematic symbol I created for KiCAD and exported to svg.
I edited the (crude) part I originally created and imported your breadboard and PCB and saved that. Here it is: https://files.deepsoft.com/Other/KWA-541CVB.fzpz
Great, looks perfect. Well then, best of luck going forward!
Best regards, Harald!
