V1.0.6 Gerber polygon issue

I use copper isolation routing for small and simple (-ish) PCBs and Fritzing in many ways is ideal. I have been using Flatcam to generate G-code but there seems to be issues with the latest version of that and the installer for the previous version is no longer available, so I’m attempting to use Coppercam.

Even in the latest version of Fritzing, the Gerbers do not use “polygon” descriptions of copper areas but seem to use a raster-type format. This seems to be a particular problem with ground fill as Coppercam (and possibly Flatcam too) spends hours generating cutting contours, whereas I understand from the suppliers that Coppercam should only take milliseconds with polygon descriptions (G36 / G37). Using the un-cut copper as a ground fill is potentially a great advantage as it can greatly simplify single-sided layout. Ideally where any component land is grounded one wants the CAD/CAM to connect this to the copper rather than having to do it manually.

So, is there any way to force Fritzing to generate polygon descriptions, or plans for this in a future release, please? Or as a stopgap, can anyone recommend software that can convert?
