Unable to move PADs in the PCB view

Steps I took that resulted in the problem:

Start Fritzing, switch to the PCB view, drop a pad from the right side to the board. Then try to move the pad.

What I expected should have happened instead:

It should be possible to move the pad

My version of Fritzing and my operating system:

  • fritzing-0.9.10-l2134-40d23c29-win64.msi
  • Windows 10 OS

Please also attach any files that help explaining this problem

You do have to have the pad selected.

hm, strange, that’s not working on my side. Whenever I try that i can only draw connection lines:

I got it solved … I couldn´t move the box when I click in the yellow section. I can move it only in the very small grey box around the yellow one … but its so small on my screen that I didn´t got it correctly.

By the way, what is the yellow part and the orange one from that part?

Make sure the part is selected, both sides are selected (pads are smd and if you have bottom only or top only selected a pad on the other side won`t move!) but the most likely problem is you need to be on the grey square between the copper and the edge of the part (the green arrow below, not the red!)

being in the copper will make a connection not move the pad.
