The best attempt at making a fritzing component… does anyone know how to do it better, and take advantage of what was already there?

Schematic in this part is lacking a lot of pins. A better job can be easily done by editing a generic IC
If you drag in a generic IC, set it to 14 pins then click Edit pin labels you can set names for the various pins. You could also make a custom part but that is more complex (and no one appears to have done so yet.
