Hey,
the ‘new parts editor’ is a good start for creating your own parts. However, I often have the problem that I want to import an automatically generated SVG into Fritzing.
However, if I use automatically generated SVGs the scaling is mostly incorrect and the part is too large. I then have to open the SVG in Inkscape, scale it down and then import it back into the ‘new parts editor’.
To find the correct scaling of an automatically generated SVG it would be so much easier, if I could scale the SVG directly in the Fritzing App, probably with a reference option. This could be similar to the “rotate” or “flip” option in the parts editor.
I think this would be relatively easy to implement. I would be happy, if you could add this feature in the future.
Cheers,
Matthias

I created an issue on github, covering this enhancement: SVG scaling for parts editor · Issue #4232 · fritzing/fritzing-app · GitHub
