Simulating a circuit

Hi,

As they said, it is mostly for DC analysis and the main features are explained in the blog post. All the parts that can be simulated are in the SIM folder. We have kept improving the simulator a bit and now transitory simulations can be done in debug mode (launching Fritzing from the terminal with the “-d“ option), see examples of a 555 IC circuit.

Using 555 timer chip doesn't work

Did you use the transitory simulation? I think you may be using the DC operating point analysis. The transitory simulation is still in beta and disabled by default, but it is functional and you can activate it you run Fritzing in debug mode. To do that, open a terminal and launch Fritzing with the -d option: Fritzing -d Could you also upload your file to try to replicate the error?

555 Timer (Astable Multivibrator) Simulation Help

Hi, I would be glad if anyone could help me confirm whether I’m wrong or not. As you can see in the image below, I have a simple circuit using the IC555. It works in TinkerCad but not in Fritzing. I tried all the available diodes, but the result was the same. Has anyone experienced a similar issue when using different simulators? 555.fzz (9.5 KB) [image]
