Is that normal? Everything seems fine when I check, but it makes me nervous that I have forgotten something. (not that I have ordered PCBs and found that out after they arrived.

This is bug in fritzing. There is one open issue: https://github.com/fritzing/fritzing-app/issues/2304
However, it seems that you have two islands of copper that are not connected together.
