No Arduino Simulation Function

I had recently purchased the fritzing software because I expected I’ll be able to stimulate Arduino codes on it. Only to find out afterwards that I can’t.

Can I get a refund?

Reason: Fritzing uses SPICE for simulations, so CPU boards don’t simulate.

So does this mean I can simulate with SPICE or ???
Please can you be a bit clearer? Thanks.

Thanks a ton! I really appreciate!!

Fritzing is currently focused on allowing folks to create and test electronic circuits. To do the testing and simulating part, is uses software called SPICE. This software supported very detailed and accurate electronic parts simulation/emulation. It knows nothing about micro-processors (other than perhaps their electrical needs). It does not contain micro-processor emulation.

There are online micro-processor emulation solutions available that support some of the different development environments like Arduino. It would be [very] nice if the Fritzing folks were to get together with someone that has an Arduino emulator and work it into the system, but that does not exist yet.

I am in a similar position in that the vast majority of what I use Fritzing for is circuits built around Arduino compatible micro processors. I wind up doing my physical bread-boarding and Arduino debugging outside of Fritzing and just use Fritzing to help with layout and PCB design. That is a big deal but yes, adding Arduino code support would be really nice.

Yes

There is a sim bin

And only parts with spice info

will get simulated. Otherwise, they will be greyed out (As in this case the reed switch)

You can change the state of pushbuttons (through the Inspector), Resistance of Resistors, and a lot more.
