A very warm welcome to the Fritzing Forum! Before you even start writing, some very important notes below…
Summary
All part requests should go to parts help. Prior to writing your topic, PLEASE do a Google Search of the part “fritzing part XXX”. Follow ALL instructions in the template given.
1. PART REQUESTS
Yes, part requests are not as simple as “I WANT XXX PART BADLY” or whatever.
Part requests NEED TO BE posted in parts help. As well, please please adhere to the template. We have enough cases of users not providing enough information to make a part. There are 10000+ parts out there, and we can’t be hunting the whole Google (Yes, although famous parts can be found). Hence, it’s YOUR JOB to do so.
Next, search Google! (i.e. enter into the search box fritzing part xxx. Search the forum too!) Avoid duplicate topics as much as possible.
Third, give a useful website.
The website must have:
- Top view (flat image)
- Part dimensions
- Connector names
Lastly, DO NOT POST in other categories. The template in parts help was there for a very good reason…
3. parts submit
Post parts that you have created. NO part requests!
4. uncategorized
Again, NO PART REQUESTS! No template here. If you post a part-request here, we’ll happily ignore it…
5. other languages
OK NO part requests here as well, though you have entered in another language. No template here!
