I am creating a custom PCB for a fan coil unit controller utilizing an ESP32-S2, and these box headers will help me to connect some breakout boards using IDC cables. This seems to be a pretty commonly used part of its type, so hopefully this will be helpful for others as well.
Thanks in advance for the help with this!

              Available in core parts.
drag it in to a sketch, change the number of rows, number of connectors, and THT to SMD and your part appears. It shows as single row in breadboard but pcb if correct.

              Hi Peter,
Thanks so much for the quick response! I have used that part for the female headers where the ESP32 attaches to the board. It should work great for that.
For the cable headers, I am seeing a pretty significant difference When I compare the pad footprint to the part dimensions on the spec sheet. While they would probably have enough overlap to connect electrically, there would be a significant loss in mechanical strength, which is really important for a header where a cable is being plugged in to an SMD header block.
Here is a representation in CAD comparing the two pad sizes, with the generic SMD part on the left, and the component spec sheet represented on the right.
What would you suggest for this?

For that you need a custom part (which loses all the features of the parts factory parts.)

Any change needs a new part but this should do what you want.
