As long as the function of the connection pins is the same, and the physical spacing matches, Fritzing does not care. The part internals are not used.
That changes if the part is to be used in electrical simulations. That needs the appropriate specification for the simulation to use, but still does not care about the specific chip used.
Unfortunately the pins aren’t in the same order so he does need a custom part. VCC and GND at least are in a different order. When I finish another part I’ll have a look at this one.
