Looking for a TO220 packaged diode like the BYW29

Hi guys, I’m totally new to Fritzing … but I’ve enjoined it so far
I have a PCB almost finished but I have an issue: normal 300mil THT diode package is too wide to put a TO220 packaged diode trough the holes. I tried hacking also a 200mil THT package alternative but I failed.
For the pcb I could fake a TO220 transistor and only wire the 2 outer most holes but that would make a mess of the schematic.
Anyone got a workaround other then bending the legs ? which incidentally I want to avoid because of space confinements.

This should do what you want.

Almost … I thought I would get an upright one and I’d need to calculate the proper space for bending it down flat.
You seem to have read my mind because that’s how I will have them (you might have been hinted by the space confinements).
Maybe for public use it would be better to also have the vertical variant.
Is there a way to tell Fritzing if it will be vertical or flat in the pcb ?

It needs a new part to change pcb orientation, but since it is basically trivial:

here is an upright version for completeness. You can’t connect to the pad in pcb with this part though.

For dissipation I would have had the metal back facing the heat-sink even when flat … not the pcb.
But thanks for the alternative … I’m sure I won’t be the only one to enjoy it.
