Loading jpeg image?

Acquiring and using Inkscape seems like the best way to go.

FYI - Want to mention that OpenOffice’s embedded Drawing program is a good tool and also works.

Screenshot below. Just draw it, export it as SVG (select your drawing item) and check the “selection” box in the export panel.
