Good morning,
I need to rotate PCBs, components, etc.
If you select everything, the rotate button is inactive.
How do I fix this?
(Windows 11, Fritzing 1.0.6
Thanks

A regular PCB (the board itself should be able to rotate. To rotate a part, including the PCB, selected it, then either right click, select rotate, select option, or selected it, then “Part” menu, “Rotate”, select option. If those options are inactive (greyed out), it could be the specific part. Part of part creation includes setting some options about what the part can do (how it can be manipulated). If that was done wrong, some operations might not work. Try it with a simple through hole resistor. If that does not work, it would appear to be something with your environment and installation.
That works for individual parts. You said “select everything”. For that, right click does not work, but the “Part” menu still should. If individual rotates work, but the “everything” does not, I suspect there is a problem with one or more of the parts included in that “everything”. Select a few component (drag select or click multi-select) and try that. Use undo and select more until it fails to find where the bad part is.

If I right-click, everything deselects,
obviously with CTRL or Shift held down.
That is expected, and why I said that only works for an individual part. You must use the “Part” menu to work with multiple parts, after selecting them with one of the methods.
