Is it possible to order a fully assembled project (multiple components)

Hi there,
I’ve designed my first PCB in Fritzing  and it’s awesome!
Now I’ve ordered a few from Aisler to see how they look.
Next, I’d like to oder a pre-assembled board, not just a PCB. I would like to have headers soldered on by the manufacturer, and possibly even have the various components (MCU, RTC, etc.) that are in my project with pins pre-soldered and assembled.
I’m looking to scale my project and don’t want to have to solder all the headers and pins myself.
Is this possible with Fritzing? I can add all the headers/boards into my project, but they don’t follow the gerber file to Aisler…
Cheers,
Alex

While I have not done this, there are posts in the forum that describe how people have done it. Search for “pick and place” in the forum search bar to find them. It takes a bunch of manual steps I believe but has worked for someone.

Check Aisler website. It can be done, but you will need to do it from their website. I think currently Fritzing does upload the components of the board to Aisler. You will need the Fritzing file or gerbers and a bill of materials.

Did you try entering MN and MPNs, and then upload from the PCB view?

You can enter a Manufacturer number and a Manufacturer Part Number in Fritzing Inspector. This data is included in the BOM, and Aisler can read this if you use the upload button in the PCB view, Aisler will get what you see when using the Export BOM CSV in Fritzing.

For the part placement for assembly, the IPC 356 export should be used.

Disclaimer: In theory, all is there, but there are probably still some obstacles that we need to resolve.
