Because I want more room between the solderpads (normally they are circular) I’m looking for flattened pads. They look similair to an egg. Is this possible?
Yes it is possible. I’ve done it for through hole. There are some samples around but I don’t have a reference handy. The ‘trick’ is to create the pad as a closed shape (a closed path in svg) instead of a circle element. I used 2 semi-circular arcs joined by straight lines.
