How to disable the "connected highlight color"?

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the “Connected/Unconnected highlight color”.

The problem is that I’m working on a series of schematics for my students,
and the highlight color is somewhat disrupting the visual design of these.

Yet, I can only find a way to change the color of the highlight (Preferences -> General -> Colors),
but not a way to remove it entirely.

Is this at all possible in Fritzing?

I don’t think so, but I don’t know.
You could set it to white, which will remove the halo, but you would still have the pins in a grey on the parts in the schematic.

Hi Flaix, thanks for your reply

I’ve already tried it out with white, etc.

However, it really doesn’t fit well at all with the rest of the components (LED’s etc.),
since the connector legs nearly gets whitened out due to it.

I’ve also experimented with black etc. and while the legs are visible,
it just ain’t nice to look at, at all… :frowning:

Too bad if there’s no way to disable it, since it’s a really nice feature for when
the students are working in the program, but likewise a really bad feature when
exporting images of both the “Breadboard” and “Schematic” views.

I see. In that case I suggest to export the image in SVG format. It does not include the highlights. You can always convert to a raster format like PNG with another program.

Hi Flaix, thanks for the tip with .svg, it works lige a charm!
