For downloading version 1.0.2. AppImage I payed the 8 euro’s. Now I want to download the latest version but I cannot because I again have to pay the 8 euros.
What is going on here? Am I missing something?
Yes. The is a link in the receipt that you were emailed when you donated that gives you updates for (I believe) about 1 year. If you use the supplied link you can download 1.0.3 without donating again.

Sorry, but both PayPal and Visa do show any supplied link only a transaction number.
The Fritzing folks emailed you a transaction receipt which contains a line like this
https://fritzing.org/releases?dlid=**************
(where there are a bunch of letters in the *s that identify you.) That link will download new versions.

Ah! Spotted it browsing through my emails : On March 3rd 2024 . 
Clicked (again) on the “Download Fritzing” button and could then download the latest AppImage.
