Fritzing window sizing on ubuntu 16.10 issue

Steps I took that resulted in the problem:

pulled the correct arch of the linux fritzing, extracted and ran the Fritzing executable. application loads but looks 2x the scaling on my 1080 resolution

What I expected should have happened instead:

the window would be full screen to my resolution not larger than the screen.

My version of Fritzing and my operating system:

16.10 ubuntu
3.20.4 gnome-shell
0.9.3b of Fritzing
