Fritzing crashing at me

The most likely answer is that you have interrupted parts update (at startup Fritzing checks github for parts updates and appears to hang, interrupting it corrupts the database). There is an easy fix however:
If you don’t have any parts or sketches you want to keep you can just delete those two directories and Fritzing will receate them, or you can move them aside by renaming them if you wan to keep something in them.

When you start Fritzing after clearing the database, wait for a long time to see if it responds (updates usually only take a minute or less to check, but if you are a new install it will download the parts repository and that takes a few minutes to complete.) If that doesn’t fix it post again and we will try some more things.
