"Filling" free places on pcb with copper

Hi everybody,

i’m happy with fritzing, developing a pcb is easy after some time of learning. :grinning:

What i have not found is the following.

Think of a place on a pcb where i want to place some nonrectangular copper.
Doing this via wire isn’t really a solution …

Can somebody please give me a hint ?

Best regards
Harry

You are looking for copper fill and ground fill in the pcb routing menu. I don’t know a lot about them, but there are posts in the forum (use the forum search for copper fill and ground fill) and some folks here that do use it that may be able to answer specific questions.

In Routing
COPPER fill fills empty area of the PCB with copper.
GROUND fill fills empty area of the PCB with copper, but connects GNDs, ie GND seeds.
There is also Keepout where you can change the distance between traces and fill.
