I am using fritzing 1.0.3 at this moment and when I hoover over the “Fabricate” icon at the
bottom right of the fritzing screen, I normally see an indication of the production costs when
I want to send my new pcb to Aisler for production.
But, sadly, this isn’t anymore possible or do I have to do something else to get an idea
of the costs? Oh yes, I can see the production costs when logging in the Aisler website
and add it as a new project but find this not very convenient.
While I have never used this, it does appear to work on 10.2
but not on 1.0.3 (it also doesn’t appear to work on 1.0.0)
Your best bet is to open an issue here
asking if this is as intended for some reason or a bug.

I tried to sign in at GitHub but they do not know (anymore) both my email address and password. At this moment I do not have time to make a new account so…
They adopted 2FA a while back and I think disabled accounts that didn’t activate 2FA (which is a PITA!) I’m using KeePassXC for github. I can open a ticket on the issue for you in the meantime.
edit
Issue #4183 opened on github.
Peter
The automatic price estimation/preview only works with the Aisler Fab. You can select a Fab with the fabricate buttons sub menu (the downward pointing triangles all are sub menus).
Ah! Thanks, it looks like it defaults to pcbway and thus doesn’t show the price, selecting Aisler indeed brings the price back. I’ll close the github ticket.
Peter
Well, whatever I activate, Aisler or PCBWay, nothing shows up. Perhaps it has something to do with your O.S.? Linux or Windows or… I am using Linux.
I’m using Win10, and for me if I select Aisler it works as before. I can try on Mint linux and see what happens in a while.
Peter
For me on Mint linux using the 1.0.3 appimage it works the same as Windows. For Aisler I get the cost estimate for pcbway nothing. Are you using the appimage from Fritzing.org or a version from your OS’s repository?
Peter
I have to investigate this. It is not in our repository (PCLinuxOS) so I think I had it somewhere
as AppImage downloaded. But because I did pay the fee to get the 1.0.3 version, it must be
a official AppImage is my opinion but I will look into this.
The appimage I am using is
fritzing-1.0.3-l1995-a7811ba0-qt6.AppImage
mine looks to be from June 28 2024 and I think is the current download. If that isn’t what yours is called try doing another download (the receipt for your donation has a download link that doesn’t require a donation for I think about 1 year.) Someone else lately had a similar issue so I am wondering if there was an incorrect version up for a while
Peter
Does the upload work if you press the fabricate button?
Update:
Just discovered that using version 0.9.6 did display the fabricate costs.
All versions are AppImage files. But anyway, I now simply uploaded my pcb on the Aisler
site and then discover the costs…
That is odd as the appimage I detailed above works the same as Windows (i.e. displays the costs when hovered over) on Mint Linux. I would expect the same to happen on your Linux.
Peter
Yes, I think you have a point here. Perhaps I have to execute an update of my linux operating system. Wiil keep you informed.
Update:
Did an update of my system: same problem.
I give up.
Hi sorry for disturbing you. I’m looking for a USB Step Up Module DC 5V Power Supply Boost Converter
I really need your help
First this has nothing to do with this topic and should be in parts help (which has a template which specifies the information required when requesting a part, which is essentially a web site that specifies the physical dimensions of the part and its connections, pictures are basically useless.) Please repost in the correct category with the required information.
