Default color setting for NEW wire

Relative beginner here: would it be possible when creating a new wire to default to the color of the LAST wire ‘touched’?
For instance, if I want to add a new ground wire (black), allow me to click on an existing black wire making black the color for the NEXT wire.

First, the current behavior:

The wire color defaults to the last selected color:

  1. Draw a wire
  2. Change color to green
  3. Draw another wire. It is also green.

The same applies for the width of copper traces.

Second: You can duplicate a wire: Select a wire, then duplicate it with Ctrl-D. This should be almost the behavior you suggested.
Duplicating doesn’t work for traces, though.

Just touching a wire to change the setting seems handy if that is what you actually want. However, there might be many cases were you want to preserve the selected color or trace width. And this behavior might then even be a bit surprising or annoying?
