Projects with medium or high complexity become literally impossible to continue with Fritzing in the latest versions, especially starting from version 1.0.0.
Previous versions such as 0.9.x seem to become a little more stable for copper filling, however, I avoid using these old versions because they have extremely slow rendering (the most recent ones are “less slow”, but they are still there), but I notice this bug has existed for at least 10 years. When executing “ground fill (top and bottom)”, a window opens with a progress bar, and within seconds, Fritzing closes. I tried to clean the ground before this process, but without success. In Windows, I deleted the Frtzing directory in Appdata, and in the /home//.local/share/Fritzing/ directory, but without any success.
I’ve done all the possible procedures: I tested on Linux, Windows, I cleaned the cache folders, I reinstalled Fritzing using 100% integrated parts, and not other people’s parts, and it’s frustrating that some projects require almost 20 or 30 attempts to make the copper filling (I’m not kidding). I’ve tried to look for the possible culprit components, but without success. I’d really like to see if there’s a real solution for this. I’m currently using 1.0.4 x64, and both Windows and Linux versions have the same bug. Any possible solution, or any procedure I can do? I have many projects created with Fritzing but lately it has become very frustrating to use it.
