Compressing long traces

I was wondering if there was a way, in the PCB view, to compress the tracing lines for long runs around the board? I know we can decrease the trace width, but what about the trace spacing?

I think you VIEW/SET GRID SIZE to something smaller, so the tracks snap closer together.
