Central grounding pad

How can I create a central grounding point by using a single pad?

I know that in the “Core Parts” section there is a “Pad” available but until now I did not

manage to get it properly used.

For instance, I want to create a central grounding point at the top layer for the input stage where several ground traces must be central connected. Is the use of the “pad” the correct way to do this?

Setting an appropriate ground “seed” on an appropriate connector, then using ground fill usually does the job without a specific pad.

Is it possible to give an example?

A tiny one will do I think.

Once the connections have all been routed, go to pcb view. Right click on a connector that is part of the ground “net”, select “Set Ground Fill Seed”. On “Routing” menu, select, “Ground Fill” then “Ground Fill (sides)”. The “sides” will change depending on which layer(s) are set to be clickable, also in the “Routing” menu. For simple cases, a single seed is all that is usually be needed.
