I just downloaded the latest version 1.05 and installed it on my Widows 10 PRO pc and everything appeared to go fine. However when I try to connect components in Schematic view no line is drawn - its not possible to connect things together.
I removed v1.05 and installed v 1.04 just to see how it behaved and I WAS able to connect components in Schematic view.
Is v1.05 fully supported for version 10 of Windows?
This is my first time with Fritzing so apologies if I making a rookie mistake here!
1.0.5 works fine on Win10. Please upload the failing sketch (the .fzz file, upload is 7th icon from the left in the reply menu) so I can see what it does here on Win10 (I expect work correctly, but there may be something wrong in the parts you are using.)
I uninstalled v1.04, reinstalled v1.05 and now it seems to be working; I can draw lines between components! I’m not doing anything differently and can’t explain why it wasn’t working for me the first time around. I’ll have a play around and see how I get on.
My objective is to use Fritzing to layout on veroboard. Can I just ask, when you are looking at the veroboard in design view, I assume youre looking at it from the top? When it comes to making the physical board is it possible to view from the bottom so track cuts can be easily read from the layout?
I assume design view is breadboard view as that is where veroboard is, and no you can’t view from the bottom in breadboard (only pcb view where the veroboard won’t show.) You could export the breadboard view as an image and then flip it horizontally or vertically to give you a bottom view, but that is about it I think. It would look like this here I made some cuts in the first column
