BLINK example has no resister

Why the blink example is so different in Fritzing? It has no extra resister which is necessary (also Arduino tutorials tell me this) and it is not set on a board = confusing.
Is a resister missing? How can a component be direct connected to the in and output digital without any resister (also other components without), it would ruin my arduino board and pins???

+1
For good practice it indeed should have a resistor.
I would call it a bug.

Thanks. Good to know. Like I said it isn’t the only example.
