Add a power cutoff mechanism during charging

Looking for a Power Cutoff Mechanism

I’m working on a simple project and need advice on adding a power cutoff mechanism during charging. Due to limited space, I can’t use any pre-made modules, so I’m looking for a compact solution with individual components.

Any suggestions for components or circuit designs that would safely cut off power when the device is charging would be greatly appreciated!

Presumably a tp4056 chip would do what you want. It is the chip in the typical lipo charger modules. If you read its data sheet it will likely tell you a reference circuit and how to configure it (a google search may find example circuits.)
