2S/3S Type-C USB Step-Up Boost Li-ion Battery Charger Module

Name of the part:
2S/3S Type-C USB Step-Up Boost Li-ion Battery Charger Module

Previous work, similar parts:
There are many single-cell (1S) Li-ion charger modules available as Fritzing parts (like those based on the TP4056), but multi-cell (2S/3S) boost chargers with a Type-C input are less common. This part is unique due to its ability to charge 2 or 3 series batteries from a standard 5V USB input.

Datasheet:
As this is a generic module, a specific manufacturer’s datasheet is not available. However, detailed specifications and operating instructions can be found on various vendor pages.

Key Specifications:

  • Input Voltage: DC 3-6V (Recommended DC 3.7V or 5V via Type-C)
  • Charging Voltage (Output): 8.4V (for 2S), 12.6V (for 3S) - automatically selected.
  • Charging Current (Default): Approx. 1.4A-1.5A for 2S, Approx. 1A for 3S.
  • Indicator Lights: Red light for charging, blue light when full. Flashing indicates a battery abnormality.

Type:
Breakout board, sub assembly, plug in module (Other: Battery Charger)

Footprint:
The board has a USB Type-C connector for power input and three main solder pads for battery connection.

  • B+: Connect to the overall positive terminal of the battery pack.
  • B-: Connect to the overall negative terminal of the battery pack.
  • BM: Connect to the middle point between the two batteries for 2S balancing/equalization. This pad is left unconnected when charging a 3S battery pack.

This part should do what you want. Note the mounting holes in pcb are not drilled by default. If you want the mounting holes you need to drag a core parts→pcb→hole part in to the sketch, place it over the holes in silkscreen then set the size appropriately.
