Steps I took that resulted in the problem:

Installation is stuck at the selection of Single User / All Users…

What I expected should have happened instead:

Installation should continue

My version of Fritzing and my operating system:

1.0.6 / W10

Sorry, but it takes a bit of time — even at the “Users” selection menu — then the installer continues.

After that, everything works!

Can you add any details that might explain the slowdown?

Specifically, are you using an unusual install location (network drive, usb stick, hard disk instead os solid state disk)?

Antivirus often is a cause for slowdowns. The Fritzing release is new, and many 3rd part Antivirus software still need to update to learn its signature. Without it, a full scan on all the thousands of files that come with the installation is run.
