I am Dutch and enjoying my retirement.

During my work, I dealt extensively with control engineering and have seen the use of automation grow from analog to digital controls.

Pneumatics is not much different from “zero and one” (0 1) in the digital control engineering world.

I have set my sights on building a mini-plotter using repurposed parts, specifically the stepper motor.

What you encounter on YouTube is a lot of attention paid to disassembling the DVD drive and building the mini-plotter.

Visually, that is easy to follow.

But then comes the tricky part: How do you program the Arduino UNO R3 and how do you properly configure the stepper motor driver, A4988? That is often missing from those videos.

That is why I am looking for solutions within the Arduino Forum and Fritzing forum.
