I am a retired electric power engineer and still following the changes and challenges in the world’s electric system. I closely follow the progress in fourth generation Nuclear energy and Thorem reactors specifically.

I am also interested in microcontroller based home energy related measurements and recording them so I can optimize my electric vehicle, water source heat pump, and other major electric appliances. Eventually would like to develop a rule based controller that sets schedules based on day ahead energy pricing.

I got along way to go in that I have just started assembling my electronics lab and related design software.
