Hi there, first of all i find this program amazing, i was creating my own editor in 3D for Perfboard parts and while the code was going fine i expected to do have a proper version in looooong time which wasnt my focus.
 ![imagen](https://forum.fritzing.org/uploads/default/original/3X/b/a/ba07bd5c175baab11258a00f63599dcb230c0b3b.png)

So now i pay for this program and i want to contribute, i wanted to start creating parts, however, i found the tutorials or outdated or very confusing, for example instead of being able to create a part from zero, it seems i need to edit it?

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Would it be good to perhaps do a tool to create them easily or automate the pain points? I would be happy to help if thats the case.

Cheers.

So while doing that I decided to record what I needed to do in order to fix the part to provide a tutorial to create new / fix broken parts. If you start from the Tarjeta S4A EDU.fzpz file posted in the above thread, you should be able to recreate my improved part posted in the same thread. I started by loading the original part in to Fritzing, that indicates breadboard is (at first look anyway) pretty good, but schematic and pcb are…

I lately learned there aren’t links to the videos in Old\_Grey’s tutorial so you need to do a google search for the title and then they come up on YouTube.

It is complex and not likely to get that much easier, however I believe the developers are working on an update to parts editor (which was not finished when development stopped in 2016, it restarted again arourd 2019.)

Hi Peter, first of all thank you for the information, i was before scouting the forum for info and so on and you are the only one around helping people with parts, so thanks for that.

I will take a look at it and thanks again for pointing me to the right direction.

Cheers!
