Isolation air gap

Hello,

I like to design a isolation air gap sometimes called slot to separate high and low voltage areas on my pcb design. Do anybody know how to design this with fritzing?

Thank you for your help.

Chris

You would have to create a custom PCB with the slot in it. To do that you create an SVG of the board shape you want.

You can have a read through my tips and tricks on using Inkscape as it has a few tips about creating a board with holes. It is important that the slot be created using a difference operation and it has to be the last operation done to the shape of the SVG before export.

Option 1)
Use the ‘Hole’ part and string several together

Option 2)
Design a PCB - several tutorials on how to do it. This example took 4 minutes in Inkscape
