I had a lot of issues with Droid as well, until I notices that the original file had ‘DroidSans’ as the font, and my font file showed up as “Droid Sans” (notice the space). Once i made sure all of the text in my SVG had the same font name as was on my system, the font error went away. It also did not show up on a friend’s system that does not have Droid fonts at all, when I imported the part into his Fritzing.
The 2 OCRA’s caught me out the first time I used it, so I remember to use OCRA not OCR A Extended, but I’m sure I loaded DroidSans, yet when I tried both, neither worked.
The error part is in Chapter5.5, but it was when I loaded my made-from-scratch PCB drawing into a generic CORE IC with 16 pins, it would put up an error that the copper layers weren’t inside each other. I just switch to another 16 pin IC and it’s fine.
I remember getting the error once before with a part that I modified one view in. All I did was mod another copy of the same svg and it didn’t error on the load.
